DOWNLOAD AN ADVOCATE TOOLKIT
Animal Place has created two informational toolkits that are designed to be used in part or in full by advocates seeking to create a policy change with their local animal agency. The packets are divided between advocates who work either internally or externally with companion animal rescues and shelters. The packets contains a "How To Guide" and much of the same information you'll find on this website, but in a printer-friendly format. You'll find this document easier to use: make copies of and distribute as you see fit.
Internal Advocate Toolkit: This toolkit is designed for shelter staff and volunteers who want to guide their organization toward adopting an animal-friendly menu policy. It will help you through the “whys” and “hows” of adopting a menu policy for your organization. Download the Internal Advocate Toolkit here.
External Advocate Toolkit: This toolkit is designed to be used by concerned citizens who want to encourage local and national animal rescue/sheltering organizations to adopt animal-friendly menu policies. It is vitally important for these organizations to hear their community members voicing a desire for animal-friendly menu policies. Down the External Advocate Toolkit here.

PROMOTE 'FOOD FOR THOUGHT' ON SOCIAL MEDIA
Help us get members of the public to start thinking about why the food an animal or environmental organization serves at its events matters. Follow us on Facebook and Twitter and share campaign updates, stories and memes with your networks.
Sign Our Petition
Sign and share our petition to urge sheltering and wildlife organizations to align their menus with their missions. For 20 years, Animal Place has been lobbying organizations to adopt vegan menu policies and your signature will show that the public supports this change.
Contact YOur Local Organization
If you are not certain whether or not your shelter has adopted an animal-friendly menu policy, take a look at our Sheltering Report Card or our Wildlife & Environmental Report Card. If you see your local rescue organization listed under the "Organizations with No Policy or an Unknown Policy" reach out to them to politely voice your desire to see them adopt an animal-friendly menu policy for all of their events. If you see your local organization listed under the "Organizations with A Menu Policy" section, you can still contact them to let them know you love what they are doing for animals!
LET YOUR SHELTER KNOW THAT SUPPORTERS WANT TO SEE A VEG-FRIENDLY MENU
Use our postcard on social media, print your own copy, or order some to mail to your local groups (see below).
