POLICY GRANTS
wildlife & environmental ORGANIZATIONS

Thanks to the generous support of the Gregory J. Reiter Memorial Fund, Animal Place's Food for Thought campaign is delighted to award one-time recognition grants of $1000 for vegan menu policies and $250 for vegetarian menu policies to deserving wildlife or environmental organizations! 

REQUIREMENTS

Note that priority will be given to organizations the operate out a brick-and-mortar facility and host public events.
  1. Adopt a written, board-approved earth-friendly / animal-friendly menu policy. 
  2. Permit Food for Thought to list your organization on our Policy Leaders page.
  3. Operate as a wildlife or environmental organization.
  4. Classified as a 501(c)(3) organization, registered charity, or project of a fiscal sponsor that is a 501(c)(3).
  5. Policy must include language that states all food served at all organizational events will be vegetarian or vegan. 
  6. Submit Board Meeting minutes or other documentation showing formal adoption of written policy.

Center for Biological Diversity
The Center for Biological Diversity recognizes livestock production as one of the greatest threats to wildlife and the planet. Consistent with our Earth-friendly Diet campaign, which urges people to reduce meat consumption as a critical means of reducing their environmental footprint, it is the Center's policy to serve vegetarian-only menus at events where food is provided by the organization.
